The energy conservation of China dark grey glass manufacturers is a long-term task, and domestic and foreign technical personnel actively carry out research, such as optimizing the structural design of kiln furnaces, oxygen-enriched combustion, oxy-combustion electric fluxing, and heavy oil emulsification technologies. At present, many China suppliers have begun to implement energy-saving measures in the production, and explore energy-saving measures in the control of processes to decline the price.

The state of moisture in the batch is closely related to the temperature of the batch material. When the batch temperature is higher than 35°C, most of the water adheres to the surface of the refractory sand grains in a free state, so that more soda ash can be adhered to enhance the fluxing effect.

When the batch temperature is lower than 35°C, the water in the batch will form Na2CO3•10H2O or Na2CO3•7H2O with soda ash and form Na2SO4•10H2O crystal water compound with Glauber's salt, making the sand surface lose its moisture and appear to be dry, weakening the fluxing effect.

Float Glass Production & Package

Due to the low temperature in the winter in the northern Chinese dark grey glass factories, the batch temperature is generally lower than 35°C, in order to maintain the moist appearance, the method of increasing the water content of the batch material is usually adopted. Although it plays a certain role, it also brings many disadvantages, such as agglomeration of the silo wall and increase of fuel consumption.
